PROSTHODONTIST
Dr. Sierra is from Chicago, IL. He moved to Mt. Calvary, WI and attended St. Lawrence Seminary for his high-school education. He, then, would devote twelve years pursuing further education at Marquette University. Dr. Sierra graduated with a double major in Biomedical Sciences, and Spanish for the Profession. He earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery from Marquette University. Dr. Sierra received the Outstanding Dental Senior Award from his fraternity Delta Sigma Delta.
Dr. Sierra is interested in complex cases and decided to pursue a specialty that would allow him to treat patients requiring implant, cosmetic, and reconstructive procedures. He believes prosthodontics is rewarding as it dramatically impacts patients in different areas of their lives, from phonetics to essential functions such as chewing meals. Not to mention the esthetic outcomes that the patients experience, such as being happier and more confident with their appearance.
Dr. Sierra completed a three-year specialty program in Advanced Prosthodontics and a Master of Science degree at Marquette University. He received extensive training in fixed, removable, maxillofacial, and implants. During his time as a resident, he received the Graduate School of Prosthodontics Scholarship. Dr. Sierra assisted dental students as an Adjunct Clinical Assistant Professor at Marquette University.
Before joining Dr. Jack H. Gentry DDS’s team, now named “La Vita Dental Arts” in Marietta, GA., Dr. Sierra was a dental provider in the southern region of Wisconsin. He supported patients in complex implant reconstruction, cosmetic dentistry, and fixed prosthodontics. He was awarded “Best Dentist” by the Herald-Independent’s Readers’ Choice Award for patient care. He also obtained the Press Ganey Award award for patient experience, engagement, and clinical excellence.
Dr. Sierra incorporates current evidence and the latest advancements in dentistry and facial aesthetics by being a member and attending continuing education courses with institutions like the American Academy of Facial Esthetics, the American College of Prosthodontists, the American Dental Association, American Academy of Implant Dentistry, among others.
